SPASO (Sahar Professional Academic Service Organization)
SPASO is a nationally recognized nonprofit and nonpolitical organization, committed to making a transformative impact in Afghanistan. Established in 2016, SPASO operates with the official permission of the Government of Afghanistan. Our organization is registered with various Government
departments, including the Ministry of Planning, the Ministry of Economy, the Department of Economy, and the Rural Rehabilitation and Development Department, among others. In addition to our local
registration, SPASO has forged meaningful partnerships with esteemed United Nations agencies such as UNOPS, UNWFP, IOM, UNHCR, UNICEF, UNAMA, UNDP, UNOCHA, UNAFO, as well as with notable non
government organizations like SWABAC, HANDICAP International, and HOPE Worldwide. SPASO also collaborates closely with local communities, ensuring that our projects are tailored to meet the specific needs and cultural sensitivities of the regions we serve. Furthermore, our organization is dedicated to transparency and accountability, regularly conducting audits and evaluations to ensure the highest standards of operation and impact

MISSION
SPASO’s mission is to provide essential support to
affected communities without any prejudices about
ethnicity or language. SPASO carries out relief
operations to help and assist victims of war and
disaster, and combines this with the development of
its members in society. SPASO focuses on society
promotion, humanitarian values, disaster response,
community care, and gender equality. In addition,
SPASO is committed to capacity building,
empowering local leaders and organizations to take
active roles in the rebuilding and development of
their communities. SPASO also emphasizes
environmental sustainability, integrating eco
friendly practices into all of our projects to ensure
long-term positive impacts on the communities we
serve.
VISION
Envision a safe and just society where all human
beings, regardless of ethnicity or background, have
equal opportunities for relief and development
support and strive for favorable and sustainable
living conditions. To inspire, encourage, facilitate,
and promote all forms of humanitarian activities in
the future in Afghanistan. Additionally, we aim to
foster resilience within communities, equipping
them with the tools and knowledge needed to
overcome challenges independently. We also
prioritize education and awareness, empowering
individuals with the information and skills necessary
to contribute positively to their communities and
the broader society.
