ABOUT OUR ORGANIZATION...Sahar Professional and Academic Services Organization (SPASO) is a national level, Non Governmental,n Non-Profitable, Non-Political Organization working for humanitarian cause in Afghanistan and carry out rehabilitation work in Afghanistan. The organization is established in the year of 2016 and got legal permission from Government of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan. The organization has been registered with the Ministry of Planning Ministry of Economy in the federal capital (Kabul City) and in addition registered with all the nconcern departments such as Department of Economy, Rural Rehabilitation and Development Department in southern region of the country. The organization is also registered with some UN agencies such as UNOPS, UNWFP, IOM, UNHCR, UNICEF, UNAMA, UNDP, UNOCHA, UNFAO,SWABAC, HANDICAP International and HOPE Worldwide in Kandahar provinceThe organization is established based on the reason to take part in rehabilitation of Afghanistan. Thenorganization has been implementing projects in the sectors of Construction, Reconstruction, ofSchools, Clinics, Bridges, Rehabilitation of Roads, and Irrigation cleaning of canals, drainage Karizes, water supply digging of water wells.

Kunar Earthquake: Around 800+ Dead and 2800 Injured

Officials from the Natural Disaster Preparedness Authority in Kunar say that last night’s earthquake has resulted in the death of around 812 people and injured 2800 more in the districts of Nurgal, Sawkay, Watapur, Manogi, and Chapa Dara. They add that the numbers of dead and injured are not final, and communication is still ongoing with residents in remote areas. According to the officials, rescue operations are also ongoing in these districts. As a result of the earthquake, several villages in Nurgal district have been buried under soil, and it is estimated that hundreds more may still be trapped. Residents of these areas are calling on people to come to their aid and help in retrieving the injured and deceased. Rescue teams from the Ministries of Defense, Interior, and Public Health have arrived in the region, and the injured are being airlifted to Nangarhar Regional Hospital.
